Periculum Capital Company has Successfully Led a Private Placement for Ash Access Technology.

One of the areas where Periculum adds significant value over the course of a transaction is the ability to effectively communicate a company’s “story” on a level where investors can easily see the potential for investment.  Often times, a target company engages in niche industries that require some technical or industry-specific knowledge in order to fully grasp the core business and how it creates value.  When dealing with early stage financings, especially in the healthcare industry, potential investors have to be educated in specific areas of the market so that the target company’s opportunities can be understood.  Periculum encountered such a scenario during the private placement for Ash Access Technology based in Lafayette, Indiana.   .

Early in the initial marketing phase for the Series B financing effort, Periculum realized that Ash’s product line and opportunity in the market place were not being clearly understood by the venture capital community.  Additionally, upon reevaluating the market potential for the new technology, Periculum realized the market size had initially been underestimated.  After repositioning Ash’s story to the strategic investment community, an offer was received from Bear Stearns and Frantz Medical Ventures which allowed Ash to retain distribution rights to its breakthrough technology, thus securing value for its shareholders over the long term.  The Series B private placement totaled $6 million and facilitated the completion of clinical trials and the initial commercialization of the Company’s emerging product lines.
