Periculum Capital Company, LLC has privately placed $11,750,000 in equity financing for Suros Surgical Systems, Inc.    

Suros Surgical Systems, Inc., headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, is a medical device manufacturer focusing on the development and marketing of breakthrough minimally-invasive surgical systems for the excision and collection of tissue for biopsy procedures. The Company's initial product, the ATEC® System, is used in the biopsy of lesions in breast tissue. Suros approached Periculum Capital Company, LLC to arrange a Series D institutional financing to launch the national expansion of the Company's sales and marketing organization as well as to more aggressively fund the Company's research and development opportunities.

Periculum Capital works with emerging growth companies to arrange the initial or "early" institutional equity financings. These types of financing transactions are typically in the $5 to $20 million range and require significant experience to execute because of the complexity of these types of transactions.
Periculum works closely with its clients in the early institutional financing rounds to do the following:

1) Assess the company's market opportunity and competitive landscape to determine the feasibility and structure of the institutional financing;

2) Develop a financing memorandum and related marketing documents that institutional investors need to make an investment decision;

3) Create a competitive environment for the company's transaction from initial terms until closing to assure the company receives the most competitive terms, structure and valuation available in the market;

4) Manage the entire placement process, including contacts, road shows, negotiations and due diligence; and

5) Lead the company throughout the entire transaction process, helping to keep the initial term sheets and conditions in place through closing.
